With Cable TV going digital in Oct, TV at #1303, Hari Kunj II has been off for last 30 days.
Long discussions on pros and cons of bringing a set top box are also over among 3 of us - conclusion favoured its delay as far as possible.
Reason: Since TV went off, discussions and chats on what is happening in life of people living in #1303 has all the focus thereby bringing back much more life to the drawing room. No second thoughts on that !
With all 4 who have been the reason and source for spending quality time gone for their respective engagements - 3 off to marriage (2 to marry, 1 to attend) and 1 for work - it is almost next to extreme boredome for me - miss you guys !

Sitting alone with all the time for myself I returned back to blogging after a gap of 3 years, probably, because there is no TV at home.

Had it been there, boredom would not have existed to get me back to this.
Most of the times you want time for yourself. When its there you want to run becaue it can make you think too much - typical, avoidable, confusing!

Interesting the fact that people need to be away from technology to focus on one's lives more :P

I can really relate to it. If I did not have access to internet, I probably would have been more productive and would have had so much more time for myself. However, when there is no net connection, I feel very constrained and begin to think how much more I could have done if only I could access net. So it seems either way I won't do anything useful!
ReplyDeleteI think while we can pretty much still control the content accessed through internet. We cant do that for a TV. Sometimes I do not want to see the images being flashed across but I cannot do anything about it. So I do not miss the TV yet, I do miss the ads, some creative stuff that
